Weekly Check in 4/06/20

Good Morning Room 6!

I hope you and your families are all keeping well and enjoying some of the activities from this week. Please say “hello” to us in the comments below – we love hearing from you all – even if its just to say “hi”.

Mrs Graham and I are very proud of all of you and we are really enjoying seeing some of the work you have been doing on the Under the Sea topic.

Have a look at these amazing Power Point presentations made by Ros and Julia. Ros has researched the fascinating sea horse, and Julia has been visiting Holmhills Park, which inspired her to make a presentation about the lifecycle of a tadpole, since we are looking at lifecycles this week. Well done to both of you.

You can access Microsoft Office, which includes Power Point  through your Glow homepage. Its available to all of you as a free download. I am just about to attempt to download it onto the ipad – some of you will be over taking me in your fantastic ICT skills at this rate!

Stay safe and keep smiling Room 6!

  1. Hi, I’ve had a very busy week! I’m really enjoying the topic, and especially liked learning about sea turtles this week! We then went to visit a tadpole pond, and I’ve learned all about their life cycle too!
    Missing everyone lots and lots!
    Love Macie

    1. Sea Turtles are great aren’t they. Mr Mirner once saw some when he was scuba diving in Thailand. Did you see many tadpoles in the pond?

  2. Hello. On Tuesday our paddling pool arrived. I was so happy. It has four seats and two cup holders. It’s so cool.
    😎
Hope you are well and have a good time.
    From Fraser

    1. That sounds very fancy Fraser! I hope you get some lovely sunshine in the Costa del Burnside this weekend : )

  3. Hi how are you I hope you are doing well. I have been doing lots of study ladder. And maths and fractions. I am really excited I am doing a cycle challenge. I need to ride 25 miles in the month of June and I will get a medal. I wanted to pick 50 miles!! Have a good weekend.

    1. Hi Nathan,
That’s fantastic, I’d love to hear more about it. Arran loves cycling and had joined the “Glasgow Riderz” this year before lockdown started. Best of luck and when you get your medal Mrs Graham and I would love to see a photo!

  4. Hi Mrs Mirner and Mrs Graham

Hope you and your families are safe and healthy. I have been busy doing lots of handwriting this week and going for bike rides. I’m looking forward to the weekend to go out on my bike again.

    Have a good weekend!

    1. Hi Ava,
Well done for practising your hand writing, I’m sure its looking lovely! The weather has been perfect for bike rides – lets hope the sun keeps shining.
      Take care,
      Mrs Mirner : )

  5. Hi Mrs Graham and Mrs Mirner. My confidence has been boosted lots because I managed to do the timed challenge on Studyladder. I was really happy when I got 15 answers right. I am also doing a Leaflet about the life-cycle of the blue shark. From Ròs 🐱🐶🐭🐙🦈🐳🐡

    1. Hi Ros,
Well done on all your hard work on studyladder. The timed challenge is tricky and can be infuriating some times. Well done for your perseverance. I look forward to seeing your leaflet on blue sharks – send it over when you’re finished and I’ll share it with the class.

  6. Hi.
I had three BBQs because it was so hot and sunny. I used the water slide so much that it broke. I did the booklet about sea turtles.
    Bye
    From Lewis

    1. Sorry we missed this post Lewis. Oh no I can’t believe your slide broke because it was that over used? Must have been because you were having so much fun pet!
      Mrs Graham x
