We have started to make Saltdough decorations in nursery. Tomorrow we will be cutting out different shapes and then letting the dough bake in the oven.
We are all very excited to decorate them next week!

We loved having the parents and siblings come to play with us this morning. The children enjoyed showing their parents what they do in nursery. It was great to see so many mums and dads come along 🙂
The children have enjoyed water play this week. The children enjoyed mixing colours and watching the coloured ice melt. The children enjoyed pouring the water into different containers and adding tissue paper to water to make the water turn a different colour. They all had great fun and enjoyed experimenting with it.
On Tuesday we made slime. The children were so good at recognising the quantity of ingredients that we needed. They were really good at waiting patiently and taking turns of mixing and pouring the ingredients and glitter into thew bowls. They all loved playing with the slime after it was made.
On Monday the children coming to nursery dressed up. We made potions and had lots of fun mixing everything together. The children enjoyed being outside and running around, playing lots of different games with each other. We also loved doing signalong, where we were learning the different signs for food!
Yesterday we had so much fun playing in out mud kitchen outside yesterday. There was lots of mixing and making different of potions and foods 🙂

A super morning out at the polytunnel! We took out a drum of water and got pots and pans from the polytunnel. The barins used a pallet of wood for the table and found some chairs so they could sit in at the café.Â
A busy Monday morning! We made some pink play-dough with Mrs Gilfillan, and enjoyed getting out for a run around at the grassy bit in the Strom road. We played catchy games and enjoyed looking for sticks in amongst all the grass. When we got back, we played with the giant floor puzzle out in the courtyard. It’s good to get outside after such a windy and rainy weekend!
The children have enjoyed creating ‘Our Community’ wall display. We found pictures of different places in Whiteness and Weisdale. The children have enjoyed putting their own houses, sheeps and trees onto the map as well. They created the grass by doing feet and hand printing. They then created the sky by using sponges. They had so much fun doing this.
