The children have enjoyed creating ‘Our Community’ wall display. We found pictures of different places in Whiteness and Weisdale. The children have enjoyed putting their own houses, sheeps and trees onto the map as well. They created the grass by doing feet and hand printing. They then created the sky by using sponges. They had so much fun doing this.
The children love when there is drumming in the nursery. They love to bang the drums and learn new songs. 🙂
We had craft time outside to use different fine motor skills. The children enjoyed spraying paint over a piece of card for their Father’s Day cards.
We all done so well at doing the symmetry task sheet today. Everyone tried so hard and enjoyed making the picture complete.
We enjoyed brightening up the nursery with our new Spring wall. The children decorated a flower, bees and ladybirds. We are looking forward to adding some butterflies to it too!
We enjoyed counting using paint and lego bricks. We also made some caterpillars using finger painting and counting the different legs.
We loved learning about space last week! The children had so much knowledge on the planets already. They were all very excited to create their own sun, moon and earth using paper mache.

We have done lots of practising and on Friday we were ready to film our performance. Everyone looked great in their Christmas jumpers.
We have been learning some nursery rhymes with Mrs Gilfillan.
Nursery rhymes are a great way to help develop your child’s vocabulary and reading skills. If your child has any favourite nursery rhymes they would like to sing in nursery please let us know. You could also ask your child about the rhymes they have been learning in nursery and sing them together at home!
