We had Joy the drumming teacher in to show us some of the African style drums. We loved following the beat and playing along to the music.

Three bears
Some of children are really enjoying stories at the minute. We set out an interactive story of ‘The three bears and Goldilocks’. They enjoyed acting out the stories and feeding the three bears their porridge.
Active story
This week we read the Gruffalo outside in amongst the trees! The children enjoyed hearing the story in a different environment and loved trying to find the Gruffalo.
Outdoor fun
In the morning, we got the parachute out and played lots of different games. We loved running underneath it and sitting under it, pretending that it was a tent.
The children enjoyed getting the balance bikes out and having a go on them in the afternoon!
Den building
We enjoyed building a den at the polytunnel last week!
Butterflies
We had 7 butterflies to release on Friday! We placed them into the trees and watched as they started to fly away. We have really enjoyed seeing them grow!!
Woodwork with loose parts
The children had fun using loose parts and various tools. They made ramps and learning new tool skills.
Measuring
We all fun getting measured yesterday. We loved seeing who was the tallest and who was the smallest.
Hairdressers
We set up hairdressers at the role play section. The children have enjoyed creating hair styles and using the teachers as their clients.
Parachute fun!
The children loved having the parachute out last week that they asked for it again!
They were really enjoying running underneath it and making it spin really fast like a washing machine.
