We have been collecting stick’s, leaves and grass so we can make a pretend bug tray in the nursery. We had all the pretend bugs but we needed some materials for the bugs.
This week we have started reading these 3 books. ‘The Runaway Pea’ by Kjartan Poskitt and Alex Willmore. ‘Don’t worry little crab’ by Chris Haughton. ‘ Follow the trail minibeast’.
We voted on the book that was our favourite. The winner was ‘The Runaway Pea’. We are so excited to keep on learning and reading these books.
We have enjoyed learning about symmetry this week. We created butterflies using symmetry with paint.
We loved exploring the beach this morning. We found loads of shells, lobster claw and fish eggs. We loved running around and playing in the sun!
We were learning new skills on how to control the ball. Their favourite was rolling it or kicking it.
We loved learning about space last week! The children had so much knowledge on the planets already. They were all very excited to create their own sun, moon and earth using paper mache.
We had lots of fun when the old climbing frame was brought out of the cupboard. The children were so confident using the frame and loved exploring it.
After finding frog eggs on our walk this week, we were all interested to learn about the life cycle of a frog.
The rain didn’t stop us from going out to play. “These are the best puddles we have ever seen, they are awesome!”
