We had so much fun at the library today. It’s been so long since we all went. The children enjoyed seeing all the different books, flicking through the pages and hearing the different stories.

Castle fun
The nursery was kindly gifted this castle.
The children are enjoying learning about fairytales and reading fairytale books. They really enjoyed making this castle too.
Frog spawn
We took a walk to see the frog spawn in Stromfirth road. We were all very excited to see it and can’t wait to keep seeing them grow.
Beach day
We enjoyed a trip to the beach this morning. We enjoyed collecting sea glass and shells on the beach. The children had some snack outside too. They all sat so nicely at the beach and remembered their manners. 🙂
Water play.
We all enjoyed the water tray today. We enjoyed asking lots of questions about the different type of jugs and materials. They loved to pour water into different sized jugs and watch the water overflow.
Magic Mirror
The children have enjoyed drawing portraits of themselves last week. They all enjoyed looking into the mirror to see what colour of eyes they had and what their faces looked like.
Pancake Tuesday
We all enjoyed making pancakes this morning for ‘Pancake Tuesday’. The children were all so good at flipping the pancakes and carefully pouring the the batter onto the flat girddle.
Our community
The children have enjoyed creating ‘Our Community’ wall display. We found pictures of different places in Whiteness and Weisdale. The children have enjoyed putting their own houses, sheeps and trees onto the map as well. They created the grass by doing feet and hand printing. They then created the sky by using sponges. They had so much fun doing this.
Outdoor play
What a lovely few mornings we’ve had being able to get outside. We loved the beach on Tuesday and found lots of sea glass to bring back to Nursery. Today we went out to the polytunnel and especially enjoyed jumping in the muddy puddles that were a bit frosty from the ice.
Happy Valentines Day!
Today we enjoyed doing Valentines Day crafts, learning how to play card games like SNAP!, building boats and little houses from the blocks and playing with the African animals. We got outside for a lovely walk after snack time too.
