Staff in our nursery value the knowledge and experience children gain at home and at other pre-school groups, especially the playgroup with whom we liaise closely.

Our Early Years team consists of a Senior Practitioners, Practitioners and Early Years Workers who aim to provide a happy and secure environment in which each child can develop. The basis of the Early Years curriculum is the way in which children learn through play.

Along with other nurseries in Shetland, we have recently begun operating 1140 hours. This equates to 30 hours per week and our daily provision starts at 8:15am until 4:15pm, with a protected session for lunch 11:45am – 1:15pm, with no collection or drop offs during this time.
