Burravoe Primary School

We went to Urafirth School yesterday to watch Baldy Bane’s play about road safety. We all had to contribute to the play to make the characters cross the road safely. Some people had to come from the audience to act out a part in the play and I went up, we had to stop people from convincing us to run across the road  which was putting us under peer pressure.  Pretending to be drunk and running across the road is called playing chicken and is very dangerous!

In the Easter holidays Anne ,Lucy,Abby and me  went  to Orkney and it  was so fun  we went to Orkney because it was are last time to go see  Imogen and her family because  they are moving back to Lerwick. It was a good trip on the Northlink ferry and me and Abby had are suitcases  with  us and Anne and Lucy had bags that you have to carry and we were there for three days and it was great we played with them .We went to see Hop.

On Wednesday we went to Michael’s Wood. It is in Eid. When we got there we put our rubbers on and piked up our food and went to picnic table and had lunch. After lunch we looked at the trees which were small but still the same effect. We walked on and then there was a box full of cars and a car mat so we played. We followed the path and read a joke on a sign then went to the Teddy bears picnic. There were teddy statues which was the perfect place to take pictures of Stripe but then all the little ones wanted pictures too and Lucy and Kay as well. We left the teddy bears picnic and went to the bird hide where we spied for birds but no luck. There were toys that made the real bird sound and a visitor book so we signed it and went really far up and went down to a pirate ship for play. I bet you can guess what we played! We played then we went to a pond with gold fish, frogs and koi carp. There was no gold fish or koi carp but there was some frog spawn. We played some more then switched our shoes and went home.

On Wednesday we went to Bonhoga! We went to see Lois Walpoles work as a basket maker. She had made some interesting things like a tie made out  juice cartons! She had also made some washing baskets that were really tall. There was a display which had samples of her work that we could touch! My favourite was the coke can that was weaved into an interesting shape. I also liked the tie. Down stairs there were some more of her work and some weaving from around the world. There was weaving from Shetland and some from Tamil Nadu.

Stripe was at me and Melissas house at the weekend stripe  had a good time Neil and me and Melissa and Stripe  played hide and seke and Neil hid strip and I found Stripe and me and.Melissa played dogese and then I watched pop! with melissa and it was Gogorike and Spongebob  and then dad got stripe to play the wii  and Dad let Stripe played sonike and I played a game on the DS and I played super mario 64 and me and melissa played the super nintentoe.

On Saturday I went to a trampolining competition, I was in grade 6 . Grade six went up first, there was a queue waiting for their shot to be judged. Once we had all been judged two times, grade 5 went up then grade 4 and 3 and then grade 2. When everyone had been we all sat on benches while one of the judges  told us who got which medal. I got a silver medal here is a picture of me holding it.

Me and Stripe went on the taxi to get home.      Stripe sleeped in my bed in the night. Stripe went in the car to go to my  grandad. Stripe sit down and watch tv with me.

On Sunday I was raising money for PSP. I went around alot of houses getting sponcers. I Walked 3 miles ,cycled 3 miles and swam 3 lengths of the pool. First i went swimming I quickly swam the 3 lengths and caried on to 10. After I wasn’t tired so I did some jumping in then I played about. I got out the pool and had dinner at Hetherlea then zoomed to my house to put my bike and Land Rover at the 3 mile mark. At the start Nanny, Honor, Aunty Elaine and Christofer were waiting for us to go. Me, Mam and Lisa walked and walked and were so tired but luckly I had a bit of chocolate in my pocket to keep me going. At the bit behined the hatchery Nanny and Honor took loads of pictures and Debbie and Scott brought me some sweeties. After I walked up to the Land Rover and my bike and every one took loads of pictures I hopped on my bike and legged it down to the Hatchery where I got more pictures then I cycled fast and got to the red bus shelter then I talked to Mam and raced to the hall witch was the finish! I got 1,000,000 pictures taken.

On Thusday Stripe came  to ours to   stay with  us. He watched The Incredibles  DVD with me and  at bedtime he sleeped with me. In the morning he went to the doctor and got a bandage and I got one too and he liked playing with preschool group  children he loved it. He was at grannys house with the tv remote.

Stripe   fed  the   rabts   he gv   Sofia   a  hug.   he  went  on   the  shelf   wv   ol  mi   cudly  toys.

In the holidays we got a white box that had been in Jennifer’s house for a while. We opened it and inside was a letter telling us what was inside the package. We found inside some sticky stars and stripes flags that every one could have one. There was a little flag like the stickers. Next we found a tub of peanut butter to try, none of us have any food allergies so we can all try it. We took out books about American currancy and some actual dollars and cents. A cute little soccer bear popped out and everyone said cool or aww! There was a book called The Puppy Place and some people have read one before.

We tried the peanut butter and the majority liked it!

One day at school a parcel arrived from south Hampton St Johns the Baptist School, Honor opened the wrapper and Kerry opened the box as we all watched. A little monkey called Stripe was in the box, we were all so exited to see Stripe and started playing with him right away. Stripe has already been at Bradley, Honor, Kerry, Leah and Melissas houses and he is looking forward to go to all the others houses. He has even been at Lucys and Mias trampolineing lessons and the doctors, at the doctors he got a  bandage. Stripe had some fun in the MidYell leasure centre swimming pool and then tried athletics in the P.E. hall which is also in the MidYell leasure centre.
