Launched in September 2025, the Centre for Teaching Excellence (CfTE) brings together educators, researchers, and partners across Scotland to promote collaboration, innovation, and excellence in teaching. Funded by the Scottish Government, the centre aims to support teachers to access, use and generate teaching-focused research, providing the resources, networks, and expertise to drive meaningful change.
The Centre for Teaching Excellence will operate through a national network of research hubs across Scotland. Three regional hubs launched in August 2025, with three additional hubs, shaped by responses to our national survey, launched in January 2026.
Updates on the six hubs, including how to get involved, will be communicated via the CfTE website and social media channels.
