Climate Schools 180

Climate School 180. Details are below and for any further information please visit LfS Climate Schools 180.

The outcomes

Working collaboratively with a small group of educators across the curriculum, our staff will support schools to develop a whole-school approach to climate change education. After our initial support, the school will go on to develop and implement an action plan of curriculum changes, staff training, and practical changes in the school grounds.

Pupils will be able to see the effects of climate change and create nature-based solutions, through hands-on experience in their own school grounds.

The detail

The programme, which is fully funded by Allan & Gill Gray Philanthropies, is open to state-funded primary, secondary and SEND schools across the UK. It comprises:

  • A 3-hour online training programme.
  • 1-day onsite delivery comprising a 2-hour school grounds climate audit with one member of staff and a small group of children, followed by a 4-hour in-person workshop for the selected group of staff.
