Well done my lovely lot for smashing another week of hard work and determination with your home learning. I am very very proud of you!

Next week we have a slightly different set up due to Burns Day & our virtual Burns Supper. As previously mentioned today in lives I will be in school all day on Wednesday so will have very limited access to teams/email/seesaw. Throughout the day on Monday I will love to hear you all say your poems so each person will be sent through a time on Monday morning. If you’d rather send a video before then that is also fine. The group that usually works with Ms Ryding will have an extra session with Mrs Briggs Mon-Wed afternoon due to missing out on Ms Ryding as she’s at Cairn this lockdown.

Please see below the weekly PPT with all tasks & info for the week:

Merry Christmas!

Yipeeeeeeee the Holidays are here !!!!!

It has been a busy term with lots of challenges but together we have made sure that all of our children did not miss out on fun, Christmas activities.

Every class have had a great time making their cards and calendars and filming their advent antics, which Miss Caldwell kindly coordinated throughout December.

I know that parents/carers have really appreciated seeing the photos and videos of their children, particularly when we have not been able to invite parents/carers into school.

The whole school were also treated to a special visit from Santa in person and then the EYC to P3 also got their own personal video call from Santa during their parties.

The Parent Council have been an amazing support to the school and organised all of the food and drinks for the parties and snacks for the pantomime.

It has been a very different Christmas but we have made sure that the children have had amazing experiences. We were delighted to finish for the holidays today, knowing that all of our children were safe and can enjoy Christmas and the festive break with their families.

On behalf of all of my staff, I would like to wish everyone, a very Merry Christmas and hopefully a much happier year to come😀!

Mrs Morrison

Panto – Scunner Who Stole Christmas

The Scunner Who Stole Christmas

Gaiety Theatre Characters, Dame Hylda and Jock the Joker visited the school on 16th  December and engaged the children in a short performance which was video and send to the Gaiety.  We will be one of the five schools who appear in the finale episode of the panto performance of the Scunner who Stole Christmas.

The Kingdom of Ayrshire and Arran has been cursed by Dourina the Soorfaced Sorceress – she’s stolen the Pantomime Recipe Book and cancelled Christmas. Only joy, togetherness and adventure can conquer Dourina’s evil plan and save the day – but with Princess Neat and Prince Tidy keeping their distance; how can Christmas ever be saved? Can Fairy Handwash remember the magic recipe and find the ingredients she needs in our community to save the Kingdom? Can Dame Hylda Rerrterr, behave on Tour? And will Jock the Joker ever crack a one-liner we approve of?

The children have watched episodes 1-3 in school so please use the link below to watch the final 2 episodes at home on Wednesday and Thursday.

The episodes go out as follows :-

Thursday 3rd December, Thursday 10th December, Thursday 17th December at 6.30pm, Wednesday 23rdDecember at 6.30pm and Christmas Eve at 1.30pm.

All the episodes are available on their website to view after the screening date and time
