Ollie and Charlie both got literacy award for super sentences, openers and WOW words. Great job boys. Charlie was also awarded his Dojo Champ certificate.
Lacey and Leith were both Dojo Champs in the wee class. Charlie got an Achievement Certificate for always trying his best and working hard and Harvey got a Literacy Award for learning and knowing all his tricky words. Well done to you all.
In a primary school not far from here, there was a playground wall that needed sprucing up….Tosh to the rescue!!
What the kids said:
It was fun to do the background because you got to do whatever you wanted. When we did the blue background it made it really stand out. I liked being part of it because I love graffiti to look at. I feel proud of myself and glad I got to do this project.
I think the wall is a great thing and I feel really happy I got to do it. The wall looks a lot better than it did before. If we could I wish Tosh would come back again to help us do the other wall.
It was really fun and I wish he could come back again. I liked doing the background and it was fun when we got to do whatever we want all over the place. It fun being in a little group because we usually do things as a class or the whole school. I liked being part of a little group instead. It was just brilliant in general.
Our project was topped off with a visit to Shred skate park in Ayr.
As part of our ‘World of Work’ learning theme and our ‘Refugee Crisis’ project we will be focusing on both these articles throughout May and June.

Meghan received a certificate for being a good friend to others and always being there to make her friends feel better. Lacey got a handwriting award and Ollie got full marks in his spelling test.
Lacey got another certificate for her PE skills. She is an amazing hula hooper!! And, the Dojo champs in the wee class were Charlie and Ollie (another doubler). Great job,
Well done to all those whose successes we celebrated at assembly.
Kyra won Dojo Champ, Mia got a Literacy Award for her poem about ice cream and Leith was awarded a Maths Certificate for working hard and being able to give change from 20p.
