It was fun!
I really wanted to ski from the top!
I kept falling!
I liked the tubing!
We had a visit from PC Porter.
We learned about being a policeman and I liked going in the jail.
I liked learning about what the police wear and all their weapons.
I liked going into the police care and using the siren.
On World Book Day, Thursday 2nd March 2017 and to celebrate 30 years of Where’s Wally, we will be having a ‘Where’s Wally’ Day of fun and activities in school and in our Early Years Centre.
Feel free to come dressed as Wally or any of his friends or bring your favourite ‘Where’s Wally’ book to school (remember to put your name on it!)
The pupils were very active this moring during their trip to Newmilns Snow and Sports Complex.
I really enjoyed the tubing because we managed to get into loads of different formations and groups to go down together.
I really enjoyed doing the tubing because we could go down with our friends or go down our self and get spun around really fast.
I didn’t like the skiing part because we were only on the nursery slope and couldn’t get much speed.
I liked the skiing because we got to try new things and had to do limbo but leaning forward.
The tubing was really fun and if you got spun you went faster.
When we were doing the skiing it was very hard to walk up the hill in the ski boots. Going down was quicker than going up!
I enjoyed the skiing and doing the turns. I’m surprised I didn’t fall.
We’ve had great fun this afternoon exploring ‘The Panda Box’.
Gardenrose Primary passed the box to us and we’ll be passing it on to Maidens Primary next week. Have fun exploring!!
Mrs Powell will be visiting our P5-7 class on Wednesday 1st March & Wednesday 8th March 2017 to make lanterns with the pupils for the Maybole Candlelicht & Cobbles Lantern Parade taking place on Saturday 25th March 2017.
Our Early Years Centre & Primary 7 will be having their class photographs taken on Wednesday 1st March 2017 at 9.30am for the Ayr Advertisers’ forthcoming feature suppliments in May 2017.
This year we are looking to develop the positive impact that working with families’ has on learning and achievement.
We would like to invite the parents in P5-7 to become a ‘pupil for the day’ on Friday 24th February 2017. You will stay with your child in school that day and share in their leaning and school routine … including lining up and going out to play!
Our last families learn together day for P1-4 parents was a great success and provided many laughs and opportunities for fun!
I have no doubt that this will be an enjoyable and fun filled day for pupils and parents in P5-7.
You should have already received your lunch options, and if you have not returned this yet could you please do so as soon as possible. This will allow us to order your school lunch from the kitchen at Doonfoot Primary.
Please indicate on the form below if you will be able to attend. I look forward to seeing you on Friday.
