We are missing seeing all of your happy faces this morning! I have attached below the timetable of work over the next three days. This has also been posted to Seesaw where myself or Mrs McLean will be responding to your fabulous work! If you have any questions please just give us an email (gw18galvinemma@glow.sch.uk, gw12strangkayleyanne@glow.sch.uk) or a message on seesaw. Today is Mrs McLean’s non-class contact time so I will be responding to tasks posted on seesaw or email.
There are 3 tasks each day: Literacy, numeracy and 1 other curricular area.
We look forward to seeing all of your fabulous work!
The St. Fergus Pupil Council have been brainstorming ideas for our Easter fundraiser as Lent is a time of almsgiving and we want to show our care and support to SCIAF. They are a charity who help support those in need with an aim to end poverty. For our fundraiser this year we have have chosen…
Bunny Bingo – 31st March.
Maisie and Chelsea from our Pupil Council will be coming around the classes on the week beginning 14th March until the 25th March to sell Bingo tickets. Tickets will cost £1 for a strip, children are able to buy multiple strips. Children will take part during school hours and there will be prizes for winners in each class!!
We will also be having an Easter Egg hunt on the 30th March. All children will take part in this with the chance to win prizes for the most eggs found.
The Pupil Council created a questionnaire using the How Good Is Our School Document for Children. We asked questions relating to our teaching and learning. One of the main themes from each class was pupil’s wanted more outdoor equipment.
The Pupil Council worked with Mrs McDonald to order equipment for each class to be used for outdoor learning and break times. We ordered Jumbo connect 4, gigantic playing cards, frisbees, quoits, mini golf sets, frisbee golf, and large skipping ropes. Dominik and Maisie from P7 spent some time setting this up before Christmas. We are excited for all classes to start using it this week and are going to make sure everybody is responsible for our school equipment by talking at assembly this Friday. We have included some pictures of our outdoor equipment for you to see all the fantastic resources we have purchased to improve our outdoor space.
The Pupil Council created a questionnaire focussing on Teaching and Learning in our school. We used questions for the HGIOS document for children to ask our school how good out teaching and learning is and if they had any suggestions.
We received very positive responses and as a result are looking at more equipment for the playground.
The St. Fergus Pupil Council have created a newsletter to let you know about all the things we have planned for the last few weeks of term. Starting with a COVID safe sports day on Wednesday 26th May. All information about this is on our newsletter.
St. Fergus Pupil Council would like to say a huge thank-you to everyone that took part in our Virtual Pilgrimage to Rome. We involved all our St. Fergus Families in our virtual Pilgrimage with the aim of raising money for our chosen charities Missio and Who? Cares Scotland as part of our Almsgiving during Lent. We are happy to announce that we walked 1566 miles, meaning that we made it to Rome and we also raised £147 for our charities! This is something we are very proud to have achieved as a school and would like to thank everyone who made this possible. If anyone still has any sponsorship money to Pay to the school, they can still do so via ParentPay.
