Colour Mixing

In Art, P2 have been learning about primary and secondary colours. The children enjoyed experimenting with colour and creating new colours!

We Love Literacy!

Here are some pictures of what we have been doing in class this week.

The children are consolidating their knowledge on nouns.
We are making as many words as we can!
We are playing spelling word board games!
I am making tricky words by cutting out letters from newspapers!
We have been learning about speech bubbles and are making our own comic strips!

A Walk around the Block!

Primary 2b enjoyed a brisk walk around the local area on Tuesday. The children have been learning about the community and what it means to be part of a community. The children decided they want to learn more about types of housing and what jobs are available in the community. We took our observations back into the classroom and learned about maps and how to use a key on a map. The children then completed a map of our local area using what they have learnt!

Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree

Please practise at home for our Christmas concert. The concert will be on Thursday 9th December 1.30 & 6.30pm. It would be lovely if children could come and perform at the evening show  even if parents cannot attend the evening show. Children are welcome to wear Xmas jumpers on the day.

Writing Instructions

This term we’re learning about procedural writing. Today, P2b worked in pairs to make a jam sandwich. The class worked together to come up with good instructions and wrote them in their jotters.

Book Week Scotland

The children enjoyed receiving their P2 gift book bags. In class we read the stories and completed activities relating to the stories.
