Good Morning Primary 2

Today is:

Wednesday the 25th of March

Dear Primary 2,

How are you all doing today? Hope you are all well. We miss seeing all your smiley faces. Today we will be giving you some lovely learning activities so you can be busy and enjoy your day. Remember you can use your jotter we gave you to show us all the adventures you have at home. We would love to eventually see all the fantastic things you make, do and experience!

The learning activities today are:

  •  An Exercise challenge – to get you moving
  •  A maths chilli challenge
  • A maths game – you can also login to sum dog with the login we gave you in your jotters. I know some of you have already.
  •  A writing activity
  •   Hot and cold topic work
  • A story to listen to at the end of the day.

Have a great day,

Love Miss Rai, Mrs Cheshire and Mr White

Super Science!

Before the school closed, some of the children in P2a  filmed a science demonstration! We looked at why it is so important to keep our hands clean. Watch the video and join in at home if you missed it or if you would like to have a go yourself. You can even show your family!

All you need is:

  • a bowl
  • some water
  • some pepper
  • soap

Why? Soap lowers water’s “surface tension,” causing water droplets to become weaker and break apart, rather than stick together. This is why soap is so effective in cleaning and removing germs and dirt.

SUMDOG MATHS

Remember to use your Sumdog login details (found in your homework pack/ inside your home learning jotter) to login and play Maths games for FREE!  https://pages.sumdog.com/

Well done to all those who have already logged in and had a go! We can keep track of how well you are doing and we will be able to set more challenges and tasks on Sumdog as the week goes on. If you complete them you can earn gold coins!

Number Bonds to 20!

In class we are good at our number bonds (addition sums) to 10 and have been working on our number bonds to 20!

Practise your number bonds to 10 and 20 by watching the clips below and join in!

Challenge: Can you write some number bonds to 10 or 20 in your jotter?
