MATHS

Friday 29th January

Good morning everyone!

Literacy

To continue our Scottish theme today we are learning about Greyfriars Bobby.

Now I would like you to choose two adjectives to describe Bobby and then write a sentence about your favourite part of the story. Here is a picture of Bobby to remind you what he looks like.

Here are some sentence starters to help you.

This is what I decided to write below but you can choose your own adjectives and your own favourite part of the story.

Did you know Bobby was a real dog that lived in Edinburgh a long time ago?! He was a Skye Terrier who became famous for spending 14 years guarding the grave of his owner until he died in 1872. They even made a statue of him and people rub his nose for good luck- that is why it’s all shiny!

Remember you can send your Greyfriars Bobby piece of writing and picture to gw14wishartsimona@glow.sch.uk. We would love to see your work!

P.E. Tuesday 26 January

Hi everyone. Remember it is really important to try to get daily exercise during lockdown. This will help us to feel good both physically and mentally. It will also help us to get a good night’s sleep.  If possible try to go out every day for a walk as fresh air is so good for us.

Have fun taking part in this video today.

Fun Activity – Tuesday 26 January

One of my favourite dogs in Hairy Maclary is Schnitzel Von Krumm. He is very cute.  Have a go at drawing a sausage dog from the attached video.

Give your dog a name when you have drawn it. I would love to see your pictures.
