Primary 2 and Primary 2/1 were gifted their Read, Write and Count bags for Book Week Scotland. We enjoyed listening to stories such as ‘How Many Trees’ and ‘Rocketmole’ by Matt Carr. We enjoyed learning about trees and space. We made our own tree pictures and wrote about why trees are important.
After we read Rocketmole, we learned about NeilArmstrong and his missionto the moon. We imagined what it would like to go into space and packed our own suitcase to space! We love doing active spelling in class as we use magnetic letters, playdough, pens to do bubble and rainbow writing. This week we used cheerios to spell ‘oo’ words! It was so much fun!
Boats sail on the rivers, And ships sail on the seas; But clouds that sail across the sky Are prettier far than these.
There are bridges on the rivers, As pretty as you please; But the bow that bridges heaven, And overtops the trees, And builds a road from earth to sky, Is prettier far than these.
