Subtraction Chilli Challenge

Good afternoon Primary 2!  We have officially started our home learning! We know that things are going to be different for a while. Miss Rai and Mrs Cheshire are thinking about all the children in P2 and hope that you are all well and safe. We will try to post learning activities every day.  Remember you also have your home learning packs which were issued at the end of last week!

So let’s start the afternoon with a subtraction chilli challenge!

Remember you can subtract by using object/counters, counting back in your head or even using a number line. REMEMBER, you can use addition to help you as subtraction is the inverse of addition, so, for example, 6 + 4 = 10 and 10 – 4 = 6

For more information on how to do subtractions or for a parent guide on subtraction please follow the link below:

In your home learning jotter, write the short date (23.03.20) and choose which level of subtraction sums you wish to complete. Get an adult to check your answers. If you have tried the ‘mild’ level  then try some of the sums in the ‘hot’ level etc.
