The Construction Club are taking part in a 2018 Cluster Level Challenge promoted by The Glasgow Science Festival Creating Engineers Competition.
The challenge was to design and build a Ferris Wheel which has at least six seats. The Ferris Wheel needed to be able to turn freely with seats that always ‘hang down’ whilst the wheel is turning. There was a list of specifications that the children had to follow in their design. The challenge encouraged experimenting, tinkering, building, observing, exploring, problem solving and creating. They really developed their practical engineering skills.
Well done to all the children who took part in this first stage of the competition.
The Inchinnan winner was Scott Miller. Scott will go to the final in our school cluster and represent our school.
Runners up were Kate Jamieson & Sofia Smeaton.
