Our Citizenship Committee groups meet regularly with members of staff to identify areas of school improvement that they could lead.
This year our Rights Committee staff lead is Mrs McGlynn.
In a Rights Respecting School children’s rights are promoted and realised, adults and children work towards this goal together.
There are four key areas of impact for children at a Rights Respecting school; wellbeing, participation, relationships and self-esteem.
These posters are the winners of the Rights Respecting Schools poster competition. We have a first place and second place winner for the upper school. As well as another first place and second place winner in the lower school.
We discussed our Poster Competition and designed our own poster which we will advertise in the school.
In our October meeting, our Committee planned our upcoming assembly. We thought up games and about how to manage them for younger pupils.
Our Rights Respecting Schools Citizenship Group is led by Miss Buchan. The Chairperson is Abigail Burrell and the Vice Chairperson is Jack Johnston.
