Practical Understanding of Autism Programme

April 23 @ 10:00 am – May 7 @ 12:00 pm

Via Perth Autism Support

What Will I Learn?

Session 1: Saturday 23rd April 10.00am-12.00pm

Theory – We will deliver an information session on the general understanding of autism, how we can look beneath what we see to realise the underlying reasons and what this may mean for our children and young people.

Session 2: Saturday 30th April 10.00am-12.00pm

Practice – Building on the theory we learned in session 1, we will now think how we can use this information to individualise this to each child/young person and to start to think about practical strategies that can be implemented to help us support our young people.

Session 3: Saturday 7th May 10.00am-12.00pm

Evaluate – In our final session we will discuss some more practical advice but also have a chance to think about the strategies we will try moving forward, any challenges we feel we might have in implementing any change and a general Q&A on autism with our trainers.
