There were wonderful acts in store for everyone today!
We had dancers, singers, violinists, drummers, jokers, animators and equestrian performers!
Well done to everyone who performed and especially well done to our winners!

Football Tournament
The children volunteered to take part in a House Football Tournament.
The older children played first of all then the younger children played too. While they played, the rest of the school supported their own house. Everyone who took part earned points for their house.
Well done to all the children who took part and to Mrs Ross who organised the tournament! Sorry for the quality of the photos, but the children were quick!
Christmas Party
Yesterday we had our annual Christmas Party and the children had a fantastic time!
DJ Ernie was joined by DJ Cameron and both provided music, fun and games!
Later on we were joined by SANTA!!!!

House Party!
Today the school launched our new Houses with a House Party.
Each House has two House Captains. all the children were then allocated the house that they were going to be in for the year.
Today they started off the competition with a Dance Party using the Wii. Everybody that moved along to the music earned points for their House.
We finished off with some party snacks!
Liam Davie comes to Braco!!
Today we were joined by British Gymnast- Liam Davie! Liam won a Silver Medal at the Commonwealth Games in 2014 and is hoping to do the same in 2018.
First of all the whole school took part in a fitness circuit….even the teachers!
After this Liam told us all about his life and what it takes to be a gymnast.
Liam let the children ask him questions and he was impressed by the questions.
His final piece was to show us two backwards somersaults!!
The children who raised money got a poster or postcard or a picture with Liam!
It was a fantastic morning and over £700 was raised by the children.
Liam commented on how Braco was the best school he had visited around Scotland!
Day Trip to Blair Drummond
The whole school and Greenloaning School went on a fabulous trip to Blair Drummond Safari Park on Friday 17th. June, 2016.
First we went on a safari on the bus then the classes split up and did different activities. This included a trip on a boat to Monkey Island, the Pet Zoo, the Adventure Playground, the Flying Fox and the Sea lion Show.
Can we say a BIG THANK YOU to all the parent helpers who came along and supported us on the day and to the Parent Council who paid for the buses!
Sport’s Day
We had a fantastic day for our Sport’s Day with the sun shining all morning!
All the children were first of all in house teams and went around different stations to earn points for their house.
After this the children participated in different races including running, the sack race and the potato and spoon race.
The final race was a House Relay race.
At the end the Sport’s Cup was won by Orchil!!

Skinny Tyres
All the classes improved their cycling skills when Scot Tares from Skinny Tyres visited our school.
He went over cycling safety, bike checks and improving our bike handling skills.

Braco Pyjama Walk for Sports Relief
UPDATE- We raised £774.45 through sponsorship money. A P1 child also raised a further £50 through his Gift Page. Also the people who ticked the Gift Aid box on the sponsor form, will enable Sports Relief to claim another £98 from the Government. A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone involved!
On Friday the 18th March, the whole school walked around the Castle Drive in their pyjamas.
On return they got warm with a well deserved hot drink!
Thank you to all the people who sponsored the children to do this for such a worthy cause.
The amount raised will be put on the website when all the money is in.

Healthy Tuck Shop
The Health Committee had great success selling their fruit smoothies in our new Healthy Tuck Shop.
The school used to have a Healthy Tuck Shop, but it has not been running for a while. We hope to be running this most weeks selling different choices such as toast as well!
