We were very lucky and privileged to have Judy Murray come to Braco and coach pupils from Primary 3 upwards and also staff!
The weather was a little dreich, but that did not dampen the spirits and enthusiasm of everyone!
A great big thank you to Judy and her colleague for giving up their time and providing this wonderful opportunity for everyone! THANK YOU!
We had a fabulous day in the park!
The children were able to participate in archery, play on a bouncy castle, play numerous games, do art and crafts, run a mini assault course, get their face painted and in the afternoon they were able to walk with alpacas!
For lunch we all had a lovely barbecue provided by Tayside Contracts.
All of our classes have been treated to a visited by Zoolab today!
Some of the creatures that they had the fortune to see and hold were the Madagascar Hissing Cockroach, a Giant Millipede, the Giant African Snail, a Chilean Tarantula, a Tree frog, a Crested Gecko, a Corn Snake and RATS!
Enjoy the photos.
We were joined by Robyn from I Bike who arranged a super morning of activities for the children.
The children from P1-7 went around three stations. Here they learned how to repair a puncture, name the parts of the bike and how to make a delicious smoothie by cycling a bike!
Thanks Robyn for a super morning and thank you Bike Crew for helping at the stations!
On Thursday 21st December, the children had a fantastic time at the Christmas party run by Ernie the DJ.
Children enjoyed games and dancing, including the Conga and Pass the Banana. At the end Santa visited with presents for everyone. Thank you Santa for coming to see us, thank you to Parent Council for funding the party and thank you to Ernie and his helper for a super time!
We have been involved in a range of activities this week for Book Week.
P6/7 have been busy asking staff about their favourite books when they were younger. They also joined up with P3/4/5 to watch the author Phil Earle in Author’s Live. P1/2 watched the author Kes Gray talk about the P2 book Quick Quack Quentin.
The children also had parents, grandparents and ex parents of the school reading to the children.
On Thursday the children could bring books along to read at a Book Lunch and today P3/4/5 read stories to Nursery and P1/2.
Thank you to everyone who came to the school and read to the children. Thank you to everyone for supporting this week by supplying books for the children to read at the Book Lunch and the pictures for the baby competitions, which were very enjoyable!
