Sports Day
We had a great day for Sports Day!
The children were divided into their Houses. First they all took part in a circuit of different activities, where they were winning points for their House.
Next of all each class took part in a running race, a potato and spoon race and a sack race. At the end there was a House Relay race. All points will go towards the House Cup which the children will find the result of at our Celebration and Achievement Evening.
Thank you to everyone who helped out and supported the day.
Hope you enjoy the photos!
Easter Fair
After the Easter Service parents and children attended an Easter Fair in the Village Hall.
There, everyone could buy different crafts the children had made and other crafts for sale. There were also a lot of toys and books for sale too! Parents and grandparents were treated to teas/ coffee and home baking. An amazing £422 was raised which will go towards our school trip to St Andrews!
Thank you to everyone who donated books, toys and baking and to everyone who helped on the day. Also a big thank you to Mrs Geddes who gave a donation of her earnings from the fair too.
Easter Service
We had a lovely Easter Service with Reverend Perkins in Ardoch Church.
Each class took turns to sing a song about Spring or Easter. There were also readings on the Easter story and an acting out of this too.
There were also wonderful violin and guitar performances by some of the children. Thank you to Mrs Chalamanda and Mr Bulley who arranged this.
At the end there was the Easter Bonnet and Baking Competition. Congratulations to our winners and to al the children who took part in this!
Scottish Celebration
On Friday 26 th. January the whole school came together for a Scottish celebration afternoon.
Three winners from each class recited their Scottish poem in front of the whole school, Mums and Dads and grandparents. After these recitals, there was one winner from each class chosen by our judges, The Head Boy and Girl from Crieff High School.
While their decision was being made, the children sang Scottish songs, played Scottish music on violins and guitars. Parents were invited to make a small donation for shortbread and scones, made by the P7’s, for funds for their P7 trip later on in the year.
Congratulations to everyone who took part, our class winners and the overall winner of the Bobby Muir Cup!
A big thank you to our judges, Mrs Chalamanda and everyone who attended.

Book Week Scotland
We have been involved in a range of activities this week for Book Week.
P6/7 have been busy asking staff about their favourite books when they were younger. They also joined up with P3/4/5 to watch the author Phil Earle in Author’s Live. P1/2 watched the author Kes Gray talk about the P2 book Quick Quack Quentin.
The children also had parents, grandparents and ex parents of the school reading to the children.
On Thursday the children could bring books along to read at a Book Lunch and today P3/4/5 read stories to Nursery and P1/2.
Thank you to everyone who came to the school and read to the children. Thank you to everyone for supporting this week by supplying books for the children to read at the Book Lunch and the pictures for the baby competitions, which were very enjoyable!
I Bike Breakfast
On Friday, 3rd. November, Robyn Warburton and Dr Bike from Comrie Croft came to Braco Primary to promote cycling to school.
Everyone was invited to come along, if they wished, to a Breakfast run by Sustrans. Children were also offered the chance to have their bike checked over by Dr Bike.
In class Robyn held a short Get Together about her work and how she wants the children to be more interested in promoting cycling, walking even riding scooters to school. She will be returning again to help run another event.
Thanks to Robyn and the Comrie Crew for arranging this for the school.
