Phoneme – split phoneme o-e (home)

Watch Cole the Mole – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gC1fTHlWLOI

If you have a magnetic board make the words the way you do in school. If not use the phoneme word maker you were given from school or click on the o-e phon link to print the sheet. If you can’t print just copy the letters onto a blank sheet of paper, cut it up and make the words.   Try to do this each day, if you can.

Remember to use the 5 finger approach – say, make/break, blend, read, write.

Possible Written Tasks – If you can, do one of these each day.

Ask a grown up to give you two dictated sentences, remember to tell them they have to include an o-e word in each sentence.

Pick 3 o-e words and write your own super sentences.

Read the phoneme story, you can find it on this link.  o-e Phoneme Story   Find all the o-e words and write them into a jotter or paper.  Read again to make sure you’ve found them all.

Try to write your own phoneme story using a variety of o-e words.

Write 4 words in the elkonin box you got from school, if you don’t have one just make your own like the one below.
