Crossing Patrol and Campus Safety

An incident occurred recently at the crossing point outside the school when a male driver failed to stop for the School Crossing Patroller causing him to jump out of the way. The driver was also abusive to the patroller which was quite upsetting for the patroller and children who witnessed the incident.

Can I please remind everyone that safe driving around and on the campus is imperative to keep all of our children safe, and unsafe driving is not acceptable.

Please see the attached leaflet via the filename below. This leaflet informs both drivers and pedestrians about the best way to support the School Crossing Patroller and the penalties that can occur.

School Crossing Patrol

This incident and all future incidents will be reported to Police Scotland. North Lanarkshire Council have a zero tolerance policy to staff facing any form of abuse.

I have also asked NLC’s Parking Enforcement Team to monitor the parking outside the school.

St Timothy’s Trebles

Congratulations to the school Glee choir, ‘St Timothy’s Trebles’, who won the ‘Espirit de Glee’ award at the West of Scotland Glee festival at Hamilton Town House last night. Please see below for a picture of them with their trophy! We have certificates for them too which we’ll get names on and given out as soon as we can.

Kind regards,

Colin Forbes
