Winners from each class chosen received prizes for their fantastic Financial Education Homework.
Thank you to Morrisons the Butchers, Scotmid, Tesco Express, Farmfoods, Greggs and Lidyl who gave permission for our P4-7 pupils to visit their stores to complete their budgeting projects – costing and designing a Christmas Celebration for 10 people with £100 budget.
P1-3 had to design some snacks for Santa and his reindeers for a set price choosing from a specified list.
There was a fantastic response from all classes and it was very difficult to judge.
Thank you to Mrs Allan for designing this exciting money project for Financial Education Week.
Thank you to local businesses Scotmid, Tesco Express and Farmfoods for donating a prize and to Mrs Mc Kendrick and Mr Allan also. Well done to Leo and Paige pupils in P7 who spoke to each of the local shops indicated to explain the task and deliver a letter composed by their class.

Miss Boyd was treated to a fantastic assembly led by Mrs Carroll and P6/7 on the last day of term. Included in the assembly were memories with role play courtesy of our talented and identical P7 pupil, pupils showcasing their talents, ‘Away in a Manger’ performed by P1-3 and a poem written by Miss Park and performed by P3/4. Miss Boyd received some lovely gifts, flowers and cards from the pupils and Mrs Ewart played the piano for the finale sung by P7.
In the afternoon an NLC Executive Director came into school to see Miss Boyd and pupils representing each class were chosen to be in a photograph.
