Miss Wilson first went out to visit Malawi in October 2013. While she was there, she chose a school called Malo Primary to be our partners.
This is Malo Primary School.
St Michael’s Primary have continued to develop and foster a strong relationship with our partner school Malo Primary. This banner was given to the school to represent our partnership.
During her visit in October 2015, Miss Wilson taught a few Maths lessons within the school and provided each class with display resources they could use within the classroom to enhance teaching and learning. During these lessons, she demonstrated how the resources could be used and how they could be displayed within the classroom.
Since establishing our partnership in 2013, we have supported the school in a number of ways:
- we have provided the school with financial support to buy school materials such as textbooks, chalk, etc.
- we have helped to buy new desks for the children to sit at as many children sat on the floor in their classrooms
- we have sent over a range of sports equipment such as balls and sports bibs to promote sport within school.
- we have provided 20 solar lights to provide children with a light to use in their home at night for homework.
Here are some of our achievements.
