End of Term Treat
Today, all of the children received a treat from the ice cream van from their teacher as their end of term present.
Forest Fun
We had a fantastic afternoon down in the forest making dens. We worked well as a group to collect the materials we required and using them to make our den. We showed great problem solving skills on how to hold up parts of our dens.
The only criteria Miss Wilson gave us was to make sure our den had a roof and a seating area for everyone in the group to sit on. I am sure you can see, we were very creative with some groups creating beds to sleep in, fires to keep warm and decorative items such as flowers!
Summer Fun at Broadwood
Today, Primary 5 and Primary 6 took part in a fantastic outdoor activity day at Broadwood Stadium for their Summer trip. They took part in Tennis, Athletics, Orienteering, Team Building and BMX biking. The rain didn’t stop them enjoying their day!
St Michael’s Can Cook
Tonight, the staff took part in some CPD from NL Can Cook. They were trying out the facilities in our new kitchen in the Nurture Room, which next year will hopefully be used by classes to carry out cooking activities.
Primary 7 Leavers’ Night
Last night, our Primary 7’s had their Summer Party Leavers’ Night. Despite, two power cuts, they all had a fantastic time!
We would like to thank the Parent Council for all thier hard work organising this event.
Moodiesburn Gala Day
Here are a few pictures from the Gala Day.
St Michael’s Has Talent!
Here are some photos of backstage before the show.
Tonight our children shone like stars for this evening’s performance of the ‘Lion King’. What wonderfully talented pupils we have at St. Michael’s. We are bursting with pride and we are looking forward for another great night tomorrow!
Only a week to go!
Tickets have been given out this week. Each child from Primary 4 – 7 has been given three tickets for either Wednesday or Thursday night’s performance. Extra tickets will be given out on a first come, first served basis from Friday.
Well done to Dylan O’Hara for designing this fantastic illustration for the front cover of the programme!
