Hiya Primary 5 and Primary 6,

This is your last Thursday as Primary 5 and Primary 6 pupils, great work on getting here. Remember each and every one of you are awesome and you have made this year great for me as your teacher and been a great member of our lovely class.

Here are some of your home learning tasks for this week.

>>>>Maths – Data handling

The mean and the range. Read through the PowerPoint and then complete the given task.

Mean_Median_Mode_Range 18th June        Average and Range 18th June

Maths Puzzles – maths-puzzle-02-four-lines      Maths puzzle – addition       Maths puzzle – words

>>>Literacy:

Spelling – continue to choose a spelling task from the spelling menu for each day. Ask someone at home to give you a spelling test on Friday.

Reading –

Adjectives – Read pages 83 to the end of Double Exposure on Oxford Owl.

Onomatopoeias, Adjectives and Metaphors – Select a book of your choice or some News articles online to read, try to read for a block of time or each night before you go to bed.

You could read to someone at home if you like, this would be great for testing your expression and flow when reading.

Grammar – Adverbs

Adverbs used with a Verb 18th June

Adverbs wordmat 18th June

Extra – Colour to show verbs, nouns, adjectives and adverbs 18th June

>>>Art

Think of your favourite memory from Primary 5/6 and make a poster showing this. Try to include as much detail in your illustrations and include a written description of what the event was. Depending on whether you are P5 or P6 you could make a poster showing: swimming lesson, Modern Languages lessons from High School, visits to the High School, buddy training, committee work, Christmas enterprise, Golden Time, learning about something in particular, or anything you enjoyed throughout this year.

Have a fantastic day everyone,

Mrs Brocardo x
