Beautiful Scotland

Morning everyone,

It is nearly the end of your last full week of school this year. How are you feeling about this? You might be feeling a lot of different things, and this is okay, just remember to be proud of all you have achieved this year and look forward to the year ahead.

I have a challenge for you. Have a look at this picture without scrolling down further. Have a guess which country you think it might be in.

The answer is Scotland. These pools of water have been named the Fairy Pools and are located in Glenbrittle on the Isle of Skye. These beautiful rock pools of crystal clear spring water are fed by a series of waterfalls from the Cuillin Mountains. This is a popular place for walkers due to the lovely views and great places for taking pictures. See the map below that shows how far it is from Cumbernauld.

Your challenge is to find a beautiful place in Scotland and research a little bit about it. Then use Google maps to find out how long the journey would take to get there from Cumbernauld.

There are so many amazing places in Scotland that you may not know about, see if you can find some.

Have a lovely day,

Mrs Brocardo x
