Hello Nursery Friends- Senses

Hello friends hope you had a great weekend.

The ladies were thinking about how we learn. We realised we use our senses every day to explore, experiment and play.

We were thinking that we should think about our senses this week and learn what each one does to help us and what part of our bodies we need to use our senses. We will think carefully about a different sense each day but for today you can study what our senses are.

The song we sing in nursery to help us learn about our senses is…

FIVE SENSES SONG (to the tune of Bobby Bingo)

I have five senses that I use   (Hold up 5 fingers.)

To help me learn each day.

See, hear, smell, taste, touch. (Point to eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and hold up hands.)

See, hear, smell, taste, touch.

See, hear, smell, taste, touch,

I use them every day.

My five senses help me learn,

They’re pathways to my brain.

See, hear, smell, taste, touch. (Point to eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and hold up hands.)

See, hear, smell, taste, touch.

See, hear, smell, taste, touch,

They’re pathways to my brain.

We are still learning about shapes, colours, letters and numbers everyday too. We are up to number 9. Have you been counting and looking out or practising writing he letters in your name?

Enjoy singing, counting, looking, creating, exploring and having fun with your family.
