Health and Wellbeing – Eating Healthy foods

Good morning boys and girls.

Another sunny day. How blessed are we to have this weather while we are staying at home?!

Did you know, the sun has vitamin D in it which is very good for our bodies to grow and stay healthy. However, sun can also be dangerous. Always wear a high factor sun cream outside even if you think the sun is not strong. UV rays can shine through the clouds and are harmful to our skin.

It is also important to eat healthily. It can be too easy to go to the fridge more often when we are a little bored – adults do this too!! Try to drink a big glass of water and ask yourself, am I really hungry or am I just bored? Sometimes, your body is craving water. Stay hydrated and drink lots of water, especially when playing outside or exercising.

Try this healthy eating quiz and see how you get on:

Once you feel confident you know some healthy foods, complete this Healthy Eating rainbow. My little boy has one in his  window. It is good to do a rainbow as this is a sign that we are supporting the NHS and staying at home.

Remember tonight, if you are allowed to stay up, we are clapping the NHS at 8pm.

Missing you,
