Hello everyone!
Apart from keeping our minds and bodies active, we need to make sure we are eating the right foods to stay healthy. I want to challenge you to make a healthy meal today using the Eatwell Guide to help you.
- Everyday we should be eating at least 5 portions of a variety of fruit and vegetables.
- Our carbohydrate options where possible should be wholegrain or high fibre versions.
- Our dairy options where possible should be lower fat and lower sugar versions.
- Oils should be unsaturated and used sparingly.
- We should try to eat more beans and pulses and 2 portions of fish per week. Try to eat minimal red and processed meat.
You could post a photo of your meal in the comments or on the school Twitter page, detailing what ingredients you used. I look forward to seeing all your healthy meals!
