Outdoor Learning Day

Last Friday we celebrated Outdoor Learning Day as a whole school. All children participated in outdoor learning and were excited to start learning outdoors!

In Primary 3 we went on a nature walk and created journey sticks, where we collected items which would help us to describe our journey when we got back to class.

After playtime we decided to be eco friendly by collecting all the litter that we could find in the local area. We managed to fill five bin bags! We hope this will benefit the local area and residents as well as being eco friendly.

After we had a well earned rest and some lunch,  we went on a bug hunt to investigate different types of insects and their habitats. We used our magnifying glasses to get a close up look of the bugs. No bugs were harmed in the process as we know it is important to repect the bugs and their habitats.

Overall we had a fantastic day!
