North Lanarkshire are launching this fund to help people who are particularly likely to be “feeling the pinch” this winter.
The fund is part of Scottish Government’s contribution to support people during the pandemic. It is a limited pot of money which means that the council may have to close the scheme early if demand exceeds the level of funding available.
Dear Parents,
Please read a message from the PTA below:
21st December 2021
Dear Parents/Carers,
Firstly, we would like to say a massive Thank You and Well Done to our school community.
Advent was truly alive in our school community over the last few weeks. With the impact of Covid 19 and the financial hardship this has caused for families in our school community, the act of love and generosity was simply overwhelming.
Many thanks to all for the huge contributions which were greatly received. This is the true meaning of Christmas, ensuring we are all looking out for one another and doing what we can to help support each other.
It is in these uncertain times, that communities pull together, and it reminds us how important it is to show support and kindness to one another. The saying, ‘It takes a village to raise a child, well it takes a community to raise a school’ and for that we are grateful.
Many thanks also to all the staff of St Barbara’s for working tirelessly through very challenging times and for supporting our children and ensuring they enjoyed lots of festive fun in the build up to Christmas. Wishing all our families a Happy and Holy Christmas and every good wish for 2022.
Thanks
Pamela Connell
