Mrs Drummond has been looking through our entries for the Scottish Primary Engineering Awards and is delighted at our inventions. She has loved all the visitors to her class showing off their fabulous drawings and prototypes. It’s probably just as well Mrs Drummond doesn’t have to buy all these fabulous ideas. She has signed up for the torch that goes around the corner and the silent hairdryer for dogs. Wow! Just look at this fabulous homework project. Keep up the creativity boys and girls.

British Science Week
This week in P7 we have been learning about Electrical circuits. We got to play with materials to create our own circuits and worked out how to install a switch or make the bulb shine brighter.
We also identified conductors and insulators through manipulating different materials. We can’t wait to try new experiments next week.
Book Fair
It’s been great to have the Book Fair in school this week. Primary 7 enjoyed looking through the new books and placing orders for some new reading material.

We are delighted to let you know our bid for the Tesco Bags of Help Grant Scheme has been successful and our project will be put forward to a customer vote in Tesco Stores during April, May and June 2020. We applied to this scheme to help develop our outdoor area to provide a stimulating and dynamic area for our children to enhance their health and wellbeing.

We will find out in July the amount we will receive.
We hope you will support us on this project and will issue reminders nearer the time. Thanks in anticipation of your support.
Lent Newsletter from SCES
Please find attached a newsletter for families issued by the Scottish Catholic Education Service with some important advice of how to prepare as a family for Lent.
Credit Union Recruitment
Huge thanks to those pupils who save regularly with our Credit Union. Your support is fantastic and we love seeing you each week as you save up for those important things you desire.
We have over 50 savers currently but would love to have more. If you are interested in saving with us please let us know and we can give you a form to join. Remember a small amount over time makes all the difference.
P7 will visit classes to remind pupils that they can join anytime and to answer any queries anyone has.
Confirmation Admin
We have been asked to confirm to the parish certain administrative information before P6 and 7 pupils are confirmed, most of which we are able to do by speaking to the children. One query we have is the parish of baptism so would ask that P6 and 7 pupils know this information so that they can tell their teacher next week.
Thank you for your continued support whilst we journey towards this sacrament.
Compliments in Primary 7
These two young ladies received compliments from their classmates today as part of our learning around mental health. They were described as having a heart full of kindness and the joy everyone needs in their life. Wow! Well done girls, you are clearly loved by your friends.
