St Andrew’s Hospice – Meet Oscar!

Week Beginning 21st March 2016

This week the pupils met their new class teddy, Oscar. Oscar has come from St ANdrew’s Hospice to make friends with the Primary 2 pupils at Stane Primary.

The pupils enjoyed making Oscar feel at home by telling him all about their own favourite cuddly teddy bears.

Oscar brought along his very own passport where the boys and girls enjoyed finding out about Oscar’s likes and dislikes. The pupils then had fun creating their very own passport. They were very enthusiastic about telling Oscar all about themselves.

Oscar had fun when he made an appearance at the Easter Service this week. Rachel was giving the important job of looking after Oscar during this service. Abbie had fun when she got to take Oscar into assembly and he loved being part of the boys and girls success.

The pupils did some drama work on the story ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ by Michael Rosen. They had so much fun acting out some the scenes and the different obstacles in the story. Dylan was chosen to pretend to be the dad from the story and we had Oscar as the bear. The pupils enjoyed questioning the different characters and hearing different points of view.

Oscar has had a great week and is looking forward to another fun filled week with the boys and girls.
