The boys and girls from Primary 3 have been using their observational skills this week, to help them to write an explanation genre in taught writing.
They explored how the Scottish weather affects the behaviour of trees.
Mia was able to explain that ” trees drop their leaves and seal the spots where the leaves have been”.
Teighan could write an explanation about why the trees seal the spot, where the leaves have been attached.
Sophie further explained that they do this so that fluid cannot flow out of the leaves and this causes the leaves to fall. The falling of the leaves helps the tree to survive the cold air of Winter.
