Nursery End of Year Celebration

All the boys and girls in the nursery had been working so hard on their celebration assembly. They sang a range of songs that were their favourite throughout the year and even entertained with tap sticks and dancing! Well done boys and girls and good luck to all the children moving on to P1!

Nursery Sports Day!

The nursery children had a great sports day on Friday 17th June. The children participated in a egg & spoon race, running race, space hopper race, beanbag race and an obstacle race. Even some of the adults who attended took part and raced! I think I speak for everyone when I say we had a great time! Well done to all the children and adults involved.

The results were as follows:  1st Place was Torbothie house with 15,150 points, 2nd place was Herbison house with 10,600 points, 3rd place was Southfield house with 10,350 points and 4th place was Tulloch with 6255 points.

The top three houses were presented with a lovely medal this afternoon and were delighted to receive these from the school house captains!

The children will receive a Sports Day Competitor Certificate tomorrow with some extra certificates to follow next week.

A big thank you to our fabulous Parent Council for very kindly donating £100 towards the cost of the medals and certificates.

Parent/Carer Questionnaire Results 2016

Thank you to everyone who attended the recent Parent/Teacher Consultations.  At the meetings on 19th May 2016, parents/carers were invited to complete the annual Parent Questionnaire which helps us determine priorities for development.

A copy of the results can be downloaded here.

We are delighted to receive such positive feedback and constructive comments for improvement.

As a result of this information, we aim to:

  • Continue to ensure Parents/Carers are kept fully informed of school news and events.
  • Review our Homework policy to ensure this meets the needs of the children.
  • Revisit our Anti-Bullying policy and establish a pupil-led ‘Anti-bullying’ Committee.

School Uniform Consultation Results

Our School Uniform Dress Code has been revised and updated after an extensive consultation over the past year.  All children, staff and parents were invited to give their feedback and opinion.

The main change is the removal of black school jumpers and red polo shirts from the options.

See below for the new dress code or download and print your own copy  here.

Changes take effect from August 2016.School Uniform Dress Code August 2016
