Time for swimming🏊

Hi, I’m Logan.  I’m 9 years young at the moment.  One of my favourite hobbies is swimming.  I love to swim!  I always practice, I even do races with my dad!  Once I swam 3 lengths in tough waves when mostly everyone else was struggling (especially my mum).  I’ve done races and relay races with a few people.  I’ve been moved up 2 levels in one day which is really hard to do.  Going into a high level is so exciting and I am so proud.  The thing I am most happy about is making my parents proud of me.  My coaches are also proud that I have got this far.  Also I am proud of myself.❤️🏊

Hope you read my next blog🏊

A Football Blog

Hi I’m Jake, I am 9 years old and I live in Motherwell, Scotland. Today I am going to blog about … Football !

Football is a sport.  The aim in  football is to try and get the ball into the other team’s goal.  Obviously using your feet. To be good at football you need to be able to:-

  • Run fast
  • have a powerful shot
  • hve good ball control
  • have good awareness
  • be good at passing
  • PRACTICE

In football there are thousands of football clubs across the world and there are lots of international teams as well .  Football clubs can have players from all round the world in their team.  For example a Scottish team could have an American player in their team.  But in international football you can only have people in your team that come from the country who’s team you are in charge of.  So Scotland can only have players in their team that come from Scotland.  My favourite club team is Rangers FC and my favourite international team is obviously Scotland because that is where I’m from.

Thank you for reading my blog on football⚽️

I hope you enjoyed it👍🏻👍🏻

A Year Of P5

Hi my name is Fraser Anderson, I am 9 years old, and I’m going to tell you about P5.  So at the start of P5 we did lots of art.  We dis a Victorian house of pastels, it was good fun.  Soon after we started to do French we are still doing it.  Today we learned how to say hi, how are you, and reply but that’s only the start, now we do pets and colours.

Our first  book was Kaspar Prince Of Cats, it was good we dis a mini topic on the Titanic but if I could read one book again it would be The Eye Of The Wolf.  It was so so good.  Later in the year we got a new topic, Mighty Mountains.  It was a small but good topic.  We did something with Virtual Reality and we explored Mount Everest.  Our topic now is plants.  In 2017 we’ve had a new pupil, new topics, more French, Spanish, sumdog and a new Beat the Street.  That’s all about P5  so far. 👍👍

My Horse Riding Advice

Hi my name is Alana. I have been riding horses since I was only 4 years old and now I am 9 years old, I really enjoy it.  Most people think that horse riding is only sitting on a horse but that is the complete opposite.  Recently I finally got my own horse called  Jack and he is only 7 years old.  It is a lot of work taking care of your own horse because you need to groom the horse, feed it and ride it and come over every single day.  I have been to a couple of competitions with my own horse jumping high and doing cross country and lots of other different things like that.  It is very fun horse riding however if you want your own horse take this advice from me, it takes a lot of training to get your own horse.  And if you also get your own horse you need to bond with your own horse very very well. Having your own horse is like having your own dog but it is much more harder and it takes a lot more work than a dog. Oh and did I mention having one horse is like having fifty or more  dogs in one house with only one person looking after all  fifty or more of them?!  That sounds like a lot of work to do.  So that is my horse riding advice for the day.🐴🐴

A year of P5 blog

Hi my name is Sean Stanford and I am 9 years old. I live in Motherwell with my mum, dad, brother and sister.  I am here to talk to you about what I’ve done in P5.  First of all we started doing art, we got an A1 piece of paper and worked with a partner to create a 3D footprint of our shoes.  Another event in P5 is French and Spanish.  We learnt a lot of things like ‘salut’ which means ‘hi’ in French and ‘hola’ which means ‘hello’ in Spanish.  In P5 we also get to go on school trips and walks up at Barons Hugh.  One of the school trips we went on was to New Lanark.  One of the most favourite for P5 is… Swimming.

In swimming we are split into 2 groups one does different types of sports such as basketball and badminton and the other does swimming.  After swimming finishes the groups swap over and the swimming group do the sports and the sports group do the swimming.  We got a new girl called Emma and now she is  involved in all these events too.  There was more events in the year like the Easter bonnet parade, the weekly wonders, sports evening, people getting on gold, if I’d said all the stuff I’d be here for years because there’s so many times we’ll probably be like almost 500!! That’s all about P5!  Bye👏

Julie’s Football Stuff

Hi my name is Julie.  I love to play football.  I play for Motherwell Community Trust U11’s girls.  Me and my best friend Casey have been going for 4-5 years.  We train on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:10pm and collect at 5:45pm then play a match on Sundays.  Everybody goes straight from school to the Davie Cooper stand, all the way to the top of the stairs.  When you’re there you can get changed then have a snack then we leave to go to training.  You can also go straight to the astroturf instead of coming from school.  If you want you could get changed at the house then come to the box upstairs.  Training is very fun, first we do a warm up, then we do stuff like passing or shooting or something like that, then we finish with a match.
