North Lanarkshire’s ‘Beat the Street’ competition comes to an end tonight, and it’s fair to say that the pupils of Rochsolloch Primary School really got involved in this initiative! We’ve been walking lots both in school and at home, and we must be fitter than ever!
Our pupils understand that, while it was a competition, ‘Beat the Street’ was designed to encourage families to be active, to enjoy exercise together, and to be responsible when travelling in our local environment.
This picture shows some of our school winners, who were awarded gift bags for a variety of reasons including:
- Taking part in the challenge enthusiastically outside of school
- Reporting broken Beat Boxes and keeping school staff up to date on responses
- Committing to the spirit of the initiative both in and out of school
- Being a role model for others during whole school walks
We are extremely proud of every pupil who has been active this month in supporting this initiative. Let’s hope the walking keeps up, even when the Beat Boxes disappear!
