Nursery Admissions Update 26.6.20

Letters detailing the next stage of our admissions process for 2020/21 have been posted today, along with our June Newsletter.

Your letter should arrive with you on Monday.  If your letter has not arrived by Tuesday, please e-mail us on enquiries@rochsolloch.n-lanark.sch.uk and we will send your letter via e-mail.

Further to this letter, all communication will take place via e-mail as we aim to finalise our admissions offers no later than Friday 10th July.

Again, we thank you for your continued support and patience throughout this process.

Nursery Admissions Update

We have recently received confirmation from North Lanarkshire Council that Rochsolloch Nursery Class will become a full-time, 48 week setting from August 2020.

As our parents applied for places on the basis of the nursery operating a full day, term time model, we have taken the decision to contact our applicants to ask them to select their attendance pattern preferences from three options.

In order to ensure that we get things right for our children and families, we have taken the decision to delay the sending of our attendance pattern preference to parents by post until Friday of this week.  This will give us time to take into account any changes which may occur in light of the Deputy First Minister’s announcement that schools will return full time in August, pending further suppression of the COVID19 virus.

Following our letter, all further correspondence will take place via e-mail to ensure we can offer and confirm attendance patterns for our families as quickly as possible.

We thank you very much for your continued patience and support.

P1 Transition

*New P1 Parents* Our in-school transition event will be held on Thursday 18th June, where you and your child will have a chance to meet our P1 teachers and Senior Leadership Team. Full details will be sent to you by post today.

P1 Transition

We are currently planning on having a small event to allow our new P1 children the chance to visit the building, with one adult.

We will be in touch with new P1 parents directly, next week.
