This week we explored our ‘Emotions Potions’ talking about different feelings and sharing times when we have felt happy, sad, excited, worried, and calm. Learning that all feelings are ok and how we can talk about them. Our young learners have been using the whiteboards to draw facial expressions and talking about how emotions can look and feel, before sharing how they were feeling today. This encouraged lots of lovely conversations, confidence in expressing emotions and understanding how our friends may feel too.

With the warmer weather this week our young learners have continued to be responsible citizens in caring for our flowers and vegetables, learning about the importance of what they need to grow and stay healthy. We have also had discussions about how we can look after ourselves in the sun by drinking plenty of water, finding shade and staying safe when outdoors.

Our young learners have been working together in pairs to complete number puzzles building on their existing early numeracy skills. Taking turns and listening to each other’s ideas whilst being supportive to one another. It has been wonderful to see everyone have fun whilst working as a team. check and improve
