Bake and bread bread

Primary 4 have been busy in our food technology room this week as part of their ongoing celebrations of First Holy Communion. To deepen their understanding of the Last Supper, pupils worked together to make their own bread, exploring both the symbolism and the practical skills involved.

Learners measured, mixed and kneaded the dough with great enthusiasm, showing teamwork and care throughout the process. As the bread baked, pupils reflected on the significance of sharing food and the meaning of this moment in the story of Jesus’ final meal with his disciples.

This hands‑on experience helped bring their learning to life, connecting faith, history and practical skills in a memorable and meaningful way.
