Outdoor Numeracy Day adventure

Primary 2 had a brilliant time celebrating Numeracy Day with an outdoor treasure trail packed full of maths, teamwork and lots of excitement. The children explored the playground to find real‑life examples of different maths concepts, turning learning into a hands‑on adventure.

Working in small groups, the children read each challenge card carefully and set off to find an object that matched the maths idea. They explored: measure, pattern, size, symmetry and shape patterns.
