Primary 3 learners embark on new science project

Two of the success criteria in the biodiversity section of Cathedral’s Primary 3 science programme are:

  • I can contribute to the design of an experiment to investigate what plants need to grow and develop healthily
  • I can discuss and evaluate my observations

These Primary 3 learners got going with this science work on Tuesday 18th March by planting sunflower seeds which they’ll care for and observe in the coming weeks. Given that sunflowers typically grow to around 6 feet (183 centimetres) tall, this could turn out to be a very impressive and colourful science project!
