Primary 4/5

Good Morning Primary 4/5,

I hope you all had a lovely time off during the Easter Holidays and enjoyed the sunny weather! I know it feels a little strange that we are not all back at school together sharing our news, but I would love for you to use this post to let me know what you have been getting up to.

There will be a new learning grid posted later on today with different activities for you to complete at home.

You will see that one of your tasks is to complete a spelling task of your choice and spelling sentences each week. Each groups spelling words will also be posted along with the grid.

There is a new Sumdog challenge set for you to complete which ends on Friday. Remember you can practice spelling and grammar on Sumdog too.

If you have any questions about any tasks or need any help, please leave a comment and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

I look forward to hearing from you all.

Take care,

Miss Davidson

Primary 2/3

Hi Everyone!

I hope you all enjoyed your Easter holidays. I would love to hear all about them. Please use this post to let me know what you have been getting up to for the last two weeks.

I’ve been working hard in my garden to get it ready for the summer. Here’s a picture of some of the flowers blossoming on my tree.

Your next home learning grids will be posted today which include new activities for you to do at home. Remember you can also go back to activities in your last grids if you enjoyed them too.

I have also set new spelling challenges on Sum Dog for each group for you to have a go at too.

I look forward to hearing from you all!

Take care,

Welcome Back Primary 5/6

Good Morning Primary 5/6,

I hope you are all well and all had a wonderful Easter. Did you receive lots of Easter Eggs? Did some of you maybe get other gifts too? Archie got some eggs, books and a couple of outfits from our family and has been enjoying tasting chocolate for the first time. We ended up making crispy cakes with the eggs we received and added some mini eggs on top. Archie had lots of fun eating the chocolate and Rice Krispies out of the bowl. It would be great to hear from you and what you got up to during the holidays so please leave a comment or add a picture!

Have you been enjoying the lovely weather? It has still been a little cold at times but it is much better than the rain! I have been thinking of you all and I am missing you all lots. I hope you have been keeping safe and following the guidance. I know it is really hard not being able to see your friends and family but this will hopefully be over soon and you will get to enjoy each other’s company. Some of you may have been video calling friends and family and I bet they were pleased to see you!

This week your tasks are focussing on Australia! We will be continuing this topic into this term and will have related tasks each week. Please try your best to complete these tasks and remember if you are unsure just leave a comment below and I will get back to you with some help. This week I have not set you a Sumdog Challenge but you do have Maths related activities on your grid. This grid will be posted by Mr Henderson.

This week you also have Spelling activities. I have attached your Spelling words for each group and activities for each day below. On Fridays, you should politely ask someone in your household to give you a spelling test. Remember if you get a word wrong you need to write it out three times.

Capital Letter Spelling 20.04.20

Full Stop Spelling 20.04.20

Commas Spelling 20.04.20
Phoneme ‘ie’ spotter for Commas

Question Mark Spelling 20.04.20

BBC Bitesize are also doing a variety of daily lessons online such as English, Maths, History, Geography, Science, Music and Wellbeing. This may interest some of you as I know you have enjoyed when we use BBC Bitesize in class. This can be found on bbc.co.uk/bitesize/dailylessons

If there is anything you would like to tell me or share with the class you can comment on my posts and I will try my best to get back to you as soon as possible. I look forward to hearing from you!

Have a great week,

Miss Jones

Happy Easter! – Primary 2/3

Hi everyone!
I hope you are all still having fun learning new things at home and spending time with your families. I am missing you all very much. As it is now officially the Easter holidays I hope you are all now relaxing alongside your adults who have been doing a super job keeping you all busy and happy.

Some of the boys and girls in our class wrote letters to Mrs Rose in Australia as part of our class topic. Mrs Rose has emailed me to say she has received your letters and is working on answering them. I will post her responses here for you all to see.

Well done to the pupils working hard on Sum Dog. Some of you have been able to answer lots and lots of questions which is fantastic!

I’d love to see what you have all been up to. Remember you can post comments and pictures to keep us updated on your activities.

Take care, and remember to relax. Hopefully see you very soon.

End Of Term

Hello everyone

Today we would normally be celebrating the end of Term and looking forward to our Easter Holidays.

The last few weeks have been very different and we are so proud of you all for trying your best to follow the rules we all have at the minute. It’s not easy but so, so important to keep us all safe until we can all be back at school together again.

But for now,you all deserve to enjoy your holidays as best you can and I’m sure you clever folk will come up with lots of imaginative ways to have fun ! All of the staff love hearing from you and have tried hard to keep you busy with lots of learning tasks and some fun ideas and activities too .

Of course you can continue to look for any fun activities you would like to do from your teachers suggestions or I wonder if anyone will be doing our usual Easter Boiled Egg or Bonnet  Challenges  from home? I would LOVE to see some photos or pictures!

We will put fresh new Learning Tasks on here during Monday 20th April

Stay  safe , be kind, keep making me proud  – but have some fun too!  .

Take care everyone.
