On Thursday and Friday this week our P1-7 pupils went along to the Civic Centre in Motherwell to see Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. It was Room 1-4 on the Thursday with the rest of the school travelling on Friday morning. As well as the fantastic show the pupils were also given their own little ‘goody bag’ to tuck into while they sat back and helped Snow White defeat
It was a wet and windy day. Kirkshaws Primary were playing ST Bartholomews. When the game started Kirkshaws got 2 early goals to put us in the lead. St Bartholomews got a goal back to make it 2-1 at half-time. When the second have started the flood lights came on and the ball got slippery then the captain Ross Mclellan scored a beautiful goal from 30 yards out! It hit
This week pupils from P1-7 who have achieved Bronze on their Go for Green Pathway were treated to a visit to the Showcase Cinema. The P1-3 pupils travelled on Tuesday to see the film Home while the P4-7 pupils had to wait until the end of the week to see The Sound of Music. Today’s assembly was the turn of Room 3 to perform at the House Assembly and show off their hard work and learning from the classroom. The school was treated to some music, dancing and information about Shapes with the pupils of Room 3 keeping us all entertained throughout – well done! This week in Bikeability the pupils of P6 and P7 were learning to cycle slowly with control around an obstacle course in the playground. They had to slalom and change direction and had to cover their brakes as well as focus on their balance.
We have a T.V. star in our school. One of our pupils in Primary 4 took part in the Guard of Honour and the half-time at the recent Glasgow Warriors v Ospreys rugby game on BBC Alba. Our Parent Fundraising Group ran a really successful Coffee Morning today in the dinner hall.
